      "message": "Disallow direct-boot aware activities to bypass work lock\n\nEffectively reverting 89927b3cd96472c478a988d6c731cd09d412a043, which\nallowed direct-boot aware activities in the work profile to show before\nthe profile was unlocked. This causes problems with key eviction\nintroduced in O. Specifically, many system activities (e.g.\nChooserActivity, activities in Settings, etc.) are marked direct-boot\naware, and therefore can be started while the work profile is locked\nwith key evicted. Currently they either bypass the keyguard when they\nshould not, or simply crash due to profile still being locked.\n\nIn the future, we need to create a new mechanism to allow activities\nsuch as video calls, alarm clocks, etc. to bypass the work keyguard. It\u0027s not needed at\nthis point.\n\nInstead, we cache the low-res thumbnails on SystemUI side that\nwill be visible when recents launches.       "message": "Add new \"work queue\" feature to JobScheduler.\n\nThis gives semantics similar to the start command\nqueue of services.\n\nThe implementation is currently lacking in URI permission\ngrant handling of the work intents; that will be coming\nin a follow-up change.\n\nThis includes a first step of adjusting/fixing locking\nwithin JobSchedulerService.  The JobServiceContext class\nhas a bunch of stuff it does that assumes it doesn\u0027t need\nlocking because it schedules the work on a handler.  However,\nto be able to correctly implement the work finish flow (that\ntakes care of stopping the job when there is no more work),\nwe can\u0027t dispatch these asynchronously so need to get rid of\nthat and just do explicit locking.\n\nThe switch to explicit locking is half-way there (again the\nremaining part will be a follow-on CL).  Right now we have\nthe locking, but still also the handler.       "message": "NetworkPolicyManagerService: fix deadlock\n\nCallers of addNetworkPolicy() were not taking locks in the correct order\ninside NetworkPolicyManagerService:\n  - addNetworkPolicy() is an internal method that calls\n    setNetworkPolicies which takes both mUidRulesFirstLock and\n    mNetworkPoliciesSecondLock in order.\n  - both callers of addNetworkPolicy, mWifiStateReceiver and\n    mConnReceiver via ensureActiveMobilePolicy, were taking\n    mNetworkPoliciesSecondLock before calling addNetworkPolicy.\n    - this causes the order of locking to be reversed, which can cause a\n    deadlock when another concurrent codepath in\n    NetworkPolicyManagerService tries to take both locks in the correct\n    order.\n\nThis patch fixes this issue by wrapping both problematic codepaths into\naddNetworkPolicy() with a lock on mUidRulesFirstLock.\n\nTest: build, flashed, NetworkPolicyManagerServiceTest passes\nBug: 36972283\nChange-Id: If7888c11aef8b628e1b013224075c4c75eae0022\n"

      "message": "VPN: cancel always-on notification with new id\n\nPreviously we used 0 for the id of the \"Always-on VPN disconnected\"\nnotification, as did many other system services. In a recent CL, an\neffort was made to assign a dedicated id to each of these system\nnotifications. Unfortunately, this CL only changed the id in the call to\nNotificationManager#notify(), but not NotificationManager#cancel().
