      "message": "ViewRootImpl: More null checks for performTraversals.\n\nLet\u0027s first understand how mView could become null. Notice\nat the beginning of performTraversals, there is a check that\nmView !\u003d null, and so it is nulled while we are in the function.\nmView is package private and there are only two places which assign\nto it, ViewRootImpl#setView and ViewRootImpl#doDie. setView is guarded\nby mView \u003d\u003d null. But mView was not null (per the check at the beginning\nof performTraversals) and so mView is being nulled by doDie().\n\ndoDie() only has 3 callpoints:\n        1. ViewRootImpl#die(). Here though, calling it is guarded by\n        !mIsInTraversal. !mIsInTraversal is unconditionally set at the\n        beginning of performTraversals, and so this isn\u0027t our caller.\n        2. ViewRootHandler, handling MSG_DIE. This runs on the same thread\n        as performTraversal, and so it can\u0027t be our nuller.\n        3. WindowManagerGlobal#addView. This must be our nuller.\n\nWe see WindowManagerGlobal#addView will call doDie in the case that\nwe attempt to add a view which we had previously set to be removed\nbut deferred removal of. Now we can construct a reasonable sequence\nfor getting here:\n    1. requestLayout(). Perform traversals ends up on handler.\n    2. removeView(). MSG_DIE ends up on handler, View ends up in mDyingViews\n    3. performTraversals is executed by the handler\n    4. From a callback initiated by performTraversals (e.g. measure)\n       the client calls WindowManagerGlobal#addView on the view which\n       was just removed.\n    5. We are still in performTraversals so MSG_DIE hasn\u0027t been processed\n       yet. This means that WindowManagerGlobal will perform the doDie\n       immediately nulling mView.\n    6. We return to performTraversals and crash.\n\nWe can see shortly after the offending call to doDie, a new ViewRoot will be\nconstructed and so whatever traversal we are doing on the old one doesn\u0027t\nseem particularly important.       "message": "When updating a split app, copy compiled files from base.apk only.\n\nThis fixes issues with some splits failing to be recompiled if they\nhaven\u0027t changed, but the dex files they depend on have.\n\nThe real fix will be for frameworks to generate the new expected\nclasspath and check in DexFile.getDexOptNeeded.       "message": "Fix dependencies of packages that target earlier releases\n\nA previous change added legacy-android-test as a static dependency to\nall packages that build against the current, test_current or\nsystem_current and failed to compile when the junit and android.test\nclasses were removed from the API. Unfortunately, those changes did not\ntake into account that some of those packages target earlier API\nversions and so will always have the classes available at runtime.\n\nThis change replaces those static dependencies with dynamic dependencies\nfor any package that targets an earlier API version. The file changes\nwere made automatically by a tool that constructed and then analyzed a\nfull dependency graph of all the Android Java modules. The individual\nchanges were checked manually to ensure that the changes matched the\nintent. The affected modules were built against an API with the junit\nand android.test classes removed.
